In October 2026, renting a campervan or motorhome through CampervanPlanet costs from €16 a day in New Zealand (southern winter) to from €157 a day in Croatia. In Iceland, the typical daily price in July (€395) is 3.4 times the low-season price (€115). Based on 2,587 live offers in 22 countries.

Prices include the rental and the basic cover the company includes; optional insurance and extras are not included. Prices are converted to your currency with daily exchange rates. Limitations: one 7-night search per season at up to three pick-up locations per country; in countries with one or two rental companies the figures reflect those companies’ prices.

How much does it cost to rent a campervan per day?

The price of renting a campervan depends mainly on the country, the season and the type of vehicle. In our October 2026 searches, the cheapest campervan starts at €16 per day in New Zealand; in the most expensive country, Croatia, the cheapest one starts at €157 per day. In Iceland, the typical price is €115 per day in low season, €260 in mid season and €395 in high season.

What affects the price of renting a campervan?

Season

In Iceland, New Zealand, Norway and Switzerland, the typical high-season price is more than double the low-season price.

Vehicle size

A two-berth van costs less per day than a motorhome for four to six people.

Rental length and booking date

Longer rentals and early bookings usually lower the daily price, and the cheapest vans are the first to sell out.

Pick-up and return

Returning the vehicle in a different city usually adds a one-way fee.

Insurance and mileage

The excess, extra cover and mileage limits change the final price.

Every month we run real searches on CampervanPlanet’s own booking engine, the same one our customers use, for one 7-night rental per season at up to three pick-up locations in each country. Northern hemisphere: low season = mid-November, shoulder = mid-May, peak = mid-July. New Zealand and Australia: low season = June, shoulder = March, peak = January. Rooftop tents are excluded. We record every campervan and motorhome offered, convert it to euros with the exchange rate of the day and publish the cheapest price and the median. Countries with only a handful of offers show fewer columns.
