McRent rates generally include unlimited mileage (some special offers come with a kilometre limit), comprehensive insurance with an excess of €2,000 per claim at German stations, which an optional insurance package can reduce but not remove, and the vehicle manufacturer's mobility guarantee for breakdowns. Kitchen kit, bedding, towels, camping set and child seats are optional extras you can add at booking.

McRent's motorhomes are built by leading European manufacturers such as Knaus, Sunlight, Weinsberg, Hymer and Bürstner. We could not verify a fixed maximum vehicle age, so if the model year matters to you, check it with McRent before you book.

Yes. McRent allows travel in all EU countries plus Switzerland, Norway, the UK, Andorra, Liechtenstein, Monaco and San Marino as standard. Travel into the Balkans (Serbia, Bosnia, Montenegro, Albania, North Macedonia), Turkey, Morocco and Eastern European non-EU countries usually requires written permission and an additional fee. Always declare your route at booking.

The main driver must be at least 21 years old and have held a Category B (car) licence for at least 12 months. Some heavier Family models (over 3.5 tonnes) require a Category C1 licence, relevant if you have a German or Austrian licence issued after 1999. Drivers under 25 may pay a young-driver surcharge of €5 to €10 per day depending on the station.

McRent has one of the widest one-way networks in Europe. You can pick up in one McRent station and drop off in another for a flat fee instead of a per-kilometre charge. Typical one-way fees range from €150 (e.g. Munich → Salzburg) to €750 (e.g. Lisbon → Helsinki). Some routes are seasonal, for example, north-to-south one-ways in autumn often cost less because McRent needs the vehicles repositioned for winter.
